A beautifully renovated historic structure in the center of it all. Last week, I had the privilege of touring the Phoenixville Foundry, a venue I'd seen as a guest, but was curious about as an event planner. With roots dating back to the 1880s, the Foundry once housed the Phoenix Iron & Steel Company, making it an iconic Chester County landmark. Many know of my passion for local history, and it's hard not to be dazzled by the Phoenixville Foundry. I am pleased with the way that the venue was renovated to reflect the needs of modern couples, while still showcasing its past. Not only is the venue one of the largest in the area, but it's different than most. Though the building boasts two ballrooms, a mezzanine, and an on-site Heritage Center (and that is just inside), it still maintains its charm. On-Site Ceremony? : Yes! Couples can opt to have a ceremony outside in the Sculpture Garden/Pavilion or inside in the Cupola Ballroom. Catering?: J. Scott Catering and Queen of Hearts Parking?: Yes. Available Spaces?: Cupola Ballroom & Mezzanine, West Wing Ballroom, The Heritage Center, Phoenix Column Truss Bridge, Sculpture Garden & Pavilion and the West Patio. Event Types?: Best suited for large events such as weddings or corporate parties Getting Ready On-Site?: Yes. Two rooms are available to couples who would like to get ready at the venue. It is recommended that you have your hair and makeup done at the hotel or at home, but you are welcome to get dressed on-site and relax with your bridal party before walking down the aisle. Vibe: Grand. The Foundry would work well with glamorous or modern events. Perks: The Phoenixville Foundry has an in-house sound system, adjustable lighting throughout the space and two levels for guests to mingle around all night.
