I don't know about you all, but over here at Alexandria Catherine Events we're gearing up to deck our halls. I've been seeing all sorts of beautiful decorations taking over window displays at department stores and my Pinterest is flooded with fabulous DIY projects for the season. The Ornament Wreath is popping up in magazines, Pinterest and social media accounts everywhere, and it's one trend you don't want to miss out on this year. Bonus: You can put it together yourself in one afternoon! Supplies: Styrofoam Circle / Form Ornaments (I found a tub of 50 at Michaels and mixed them with a smaller assortment) Hot Glue Gun Hot Glue Sticks We started by hot gluing ornaments of the same size around the perimeter of the wreath form, careful to keep them as even as possible. It helped to keep newspaper underneath (it's messy... we had a lot of glitter!) and gently push on the ornament to make sure it's touching the flat surface below it. Note: If you're using glitter ornaments, make sure to give them a little extra glue and time to dry. Once you form the perimeter, work your way 'around' the wreath towards the inside. Most of our ornaments were of the same size; however, we intermixed some smaller ones as well to help cover the spots that showed through. Ta-da! Our wreath is (almost) complete. Select a ribbon that matches the color scheme that you picked for your ornaments and weave it through any open crevices at the top so that you can hang the wreath up on a front door, above a mantel, etc. A sparkling stunner, this wreath is sure to be the topic of many conversations this holiday season.
