The first days of spring are right up there with the start of a new year, everyone is hustling and bustling and reinventing their homes, wardrobes, hair, etc. But what about reinventing your mindset?
Here are my tips for ridding your mind and body of negativity, and to start spring off on a positive note.
1. Count Your Blessings
It is all too easy to get caught up in stress, drama, and other overwhelming feelings, and we let these frustrations and worries dictate our attitudes. No more! Take control, and remind yourself to be grateful for the things going right.
Watch a comedy, grab dinner with friends (and make a pact to not vent the whole time... tell each other the funniest part of your day/week!). Don't take yourself too seriously. Laughter is the best medicine.
When you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts, quickly replace them with something positive (you'll be surprised by how easily you can catch yourself doing this!). This is also a really fantastic exercise to do before bed. Instead of lying awake stressing out about tomorrow or reflecting on the negative parts of your day, get yourself hyped up for something to look forward to tomorrow, and allow your mind to reflect on the positive aspects of your day.
With these simple tricks, you can start to rid negativity from your daily life, and not only be happier as an individual, but more successful, confident, and carefree. Bring on Spring!
