Are you having nightmares about your big day? Getting the sweats? Good, er... ish... news. The above symptoms are common in brides to be (& grooms!). While wedding planning is certainly an exciting time, it can also be anxiety-ridden. We'll discuss a few of the most common wedding day fears and how you can get over them.
Wedding Fear #1 : Your Dress Won't Fit You found the dress of your dreams and you can't wait to wear it on the big day... this is precisely the reason why you are so nervous about it not fitting, Wedding Fear Mantra: I am going to be getting plenty of fittings. My dress is going to be tailored to my body. I am going to look and feel beautiful. Wedding Fear #2 : It's Going to Rain Yes, it might. Does that change the fact that you're going to be marrying the man or woman of your dreams? Does it change the fact that you'll be surrounded by family and friends? Will it stop you from getting gorgeous photographs? Will your guests have less fun? No. Wedding Fear Mantra: The weather isn't going to change the meaning of my day or how much fun everyone has, but my attitude will. I will make the best of whatever is thrown my way. Wedding Fear #3 : Tripping Down the Aisle The walk down the aisle is slow and you should have the opportunity to practice at your rehearsal. If you are planning to wear heels, make sure to break them in first a few weeks before the wedding so that they are more comfortable the day-of. Wedding Fear Mantra: I will determine my own pace down the aisle. I will walk with confidence. There will not be a dry eye in the house.
